MY BACKROUND
I have worked for over 15 years in HR roles across various industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and banking, in both large international corporations and smaller Swiss businesses. My focus has always been on people and organizational topics, supporting companies and individuals through change and development. If there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that change is rarely smooth, and individuals (including myself) don’t always behave as rationally as we'd like to think. That’s where my passion for psychology comes in.
With a background in economic psychology, I have deepened my expertise through further education in Coaching, Positive Psychology, and Change Management. A key foundation of my work is Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), an evidence-based approach developed by Steven C. Hayes. Rather than aiming to “fix” people (because, let’s be honest, no one needs fixing), ACT helps individuals develop psychological flexibility - learning to accept what they cannot change while committing to actions that align with their values. It’s a mix of mindfulness, behavioral science, and values-based decision-making, which I appreciate because life doesn’t always go as planned, and instead of resisting discomfort, ACT provides tools to navigate it in a way that feels meaningful.
Beyond my work in HR, I also teach psychology students at a University of Applied Sciences, where I get to combine theory with real-world experience. My love for psychological science keeps me constantly curious, always questioning, and eager to bring the latest research into my work. I enjoy bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application - translating complex theories into useful insights for everyday life and work.
